I'm using MAX6 and I would like to use gen.

Since the new MAX7 is released, I can't find the way to purchase gen (for MAX6)

I don't want to upgrade to MAX7 right now....

I'm assuming that when you first bought Max, you didn't opt for the 'plus gen' version. I did, and when I recently re-downloaded 6.1.9, gen was there as part of the bundle.

If you're asking how to 'upgrade' your Max 6 purchase to include gen, then I guess you'll have to contact customer support :(

you don't have to purchase it. Since the latest max 6 updates (maybe 6.1 ? don't remmeber), gen is free for all max 6 users.

but when I open a gen~ object, it says that "GEN is in runtime mode"

I'll download 6.1.9 hoping it will work....

Pretty surprised at the regulars in this thread who didn't know the answer. Max 6.1.9 signaling the end of Gen being a separate product last spring was a pretty big deal.

At last i'm acknowledged as a regular of the Cycling forum. I can die happy.
