Question concerning: shot~

Hello!

Thanks to Andrew Benson for his great set of signal rate tools. But one question:

The object and its help file suggest the right-hand inlet for "ramp length in ms" should be able to accept both signal and float. However I'm not seeing any sign of life if feeding it a signal. Can other people confirm? Any idea what might be wrong Andrew? I'm just testing it with floatbox -> sig~ -> shot~

Cheers,

antwan

Hi antwan,
Thanks for pointing out the problem. I think I've got it fixed now, and updated on the Toolbox page:
https://cycling74.com/tools/benson-signal-rate-utility/

If you could confirm that it's working that would be awesome.

Hello,

That seemed to fix it, thanks!
Just another oddity I happened to come across this time around was when I accidentally gave shot~ a negative ramp time value:
I don't know if this is in any way a thought out scenario, but when given a negative ramp time, it starts counting down from 0 at some arbitary slowish speed and keeps on going till you give it a positive ramp time value, then it slowly crawls back up and when it eventually reaches 1. and only then is ready to start operating normally again. Don't know if you feel like addressing this but just thought I'd point it out while I'm at it :)

But cheers for the fix, I appreciate it!
