Hi there I am new to the forums and have been using Max for the past 3 months at uni. Recently I have started work on a Max Patch that interacts with some phidget sensors to trigger audio. Now I had the patch working fine in Max on the windows pc’s at uni but we have decided to add ambisonics to the design using the ICST ambisonic tools for max. We cannot use the uni pc’s for these tools. So the presentation is in a couple of weeks so my tutor recommended I downloaded the 30 day trial as it would get me through the presentation. I am running it on a Macbook.
The problem I am having is when I load up the patch bangs are going off when they are not suppose to for no apparent reason on startup. I even checked one by putting it through a gate with the gate set so that the bang should come through the 2nd gate and it still hit a bang on the 1st on startup. Other problems I am having also include that gate switches I have tried using seem to keep switching to the wrong side and then if i change it, it seems to change but I aso have a feeling this is due to random bangs causing the switch to change. Now I believe I know what the problem is you see I am currently running it on leopard and I realise that MaxMSP is not confirmed compatibility with Leopard. I went through the forum posts about leopard and Max and nobody seems to have come up with any problems like mine. So I thought i would check if it might be something else that I can do before I take the plunge and revert my Macbook back to Tiger.
Sorry for the long post but any advice would be much appreciated.

If you paste the relevant part of your patch in the mail body, one could
look at it. That might make the post longer in terms of number of
characters, but you’d need much less words to explain, and we could
actually understand what your problem is. Without patch I have no idea…
