I am trying to read input raw video stream into maxmspjitter environment for live video processing. I was thinking in lines of being able to generate raw frames (matrices) from video and read those matrices in Max directly from memory. Is there some external that does something like that. Or can I write such a max (jitter) object that reads matrices directly from a memory location or from a named unix pipe ?

read raw matrix from memory ( e.g. named pipe etc)
