I haven’t used Max/MSP regularly, so I’ve forgotten what object to use for making a virtual patch bay – i.e., inputs across the top (running vertically) and outputs along the side. What’s the name of that object?
I’d like Max to read ‘presets’ for the aforementioned patch bay from a file. The file will consist of fixed-size matrices with the same dimensions as the patch bay, with simple booleans as the elements of the matrix.
I’ve constructed a GUI in processing in which I can most comfortably create the presets and export them to a file. However, I need to know:
1) what is the best format for this presets file? And
2) how do I get my patch bay to read the presets sequentially (for now) with a simple bang?
