Hey guys,

a few times i've pulled up a simple spreadsheet object in max/msp which looks sorta like MS excel. i can't find this anymore dispite clicking on every single object, reading documentation, etc..

ive never used any external plugins or anything, and always same version of max.

anyone know how i can find this again? :D
thx in advance!

jit.cellblock (despite the name, a Max object distributed with Max, in
case you don't use Jitter).

jit.cellblock?
Its icon should be in the "object bar", which is alphabetically sorted
from left to right...

Uhh, when i type jit.cellblock into an object window and pullup the help file on it, jit.cellblock is inside what appears to be a comment window (broken line box) with max lines going to places.. the word is encapsulated as "(jit.cellblock") minus quotes, i mean, doesn't that mean it's missing?

it says stuff like 'click on any cell' and there ain't no cell. I just formatted my pc yesterday and installed it, so i don't know what the hell is going on??

ahhh i figured it out!! maybe someone can verify this?

i was looking at jitter and installed the demo, and then uninstalled it through boredom, and i think because jit.cellblock is -technically- a jitter file, i *think* the jitter uninstaller removed jit.* and sorta forgot that jit.cellblock is included in msp, because i just reinstalled msp right over the top of the old one and jit.cellblock is back again.

maybe a slight thing to fix up in the installer script??

edit: okay so i was working with jit.cellblock and i put one into my patcher, and max crashed. i closed it, i opened my 'real' patcher (with no jit.cellblock) and max/msp crashes every time. (???) i'm going to do a full reinstall.

full reinstall, forced deleting the dir, still getting crashes - made a new file, put some stuff in it, saved it, closed max, reopened and works fine.

...max just trashed all my work (1 month)..

is there some tool for manually editing/checking .mxb's... otherwise i've lost everything..

jit.cellblock is EVIL! :(
