References to permanent installations created w MaxMSPJitter
can anyone give me references to long-term (permanent) exhibitions running MaxMSP ?
F.x. at official museums or other public spaces.
The projects I find are all temporary installations which is what I have myself used MaxMSPJitter for so far. But now I’m working on a more serious/official project and would like to have references of something alike..
Any examples would be appreciated.. I’ve seen the threads around paid work for creating Max patches, but there were no concrete examples.
current long exhibitions:
- Spatial Sounds (100dB at 100km/h): http://www.evdh.net/spatial_sounds/ , September 22nd, 2011 – August 19th, 2012, Vranken Pommery, Reims, France. http://www.claudinecolin.com/fr/670-la-fabrique-sonore-experience-pommery-9 , http://www.pommery.com/
- Sound Modulated Light #3: http://www.evdh.net/sound_modulated_light/ , March 17th 2012 – January 6th, 2013, ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie, Karlsruhe, Germany. http://soundart.zkm.de/en , http://www.zkm.de/
but very soon, I’ll describe it a bit better and in a real page (not a blog)
These are some things I’ve worked on which are controlled by Max and cosidered "permanent"
- 75,000 LEDs in a corporate cafeteria. Ran for the life of the office, about 5 years. This video shows some tests playing with the lights : https://vimeo.com/5768106

Excellent thread! Really, this should be up on the cycling74 site – great promotional stuff, but also inspirational for us, the patching people
