Releasing pluggo code

Who else thinks Cyc74 should just release the patches for all the original pluggo plugins? Since they're not going to continue updating the vsts to work with our DAWs, it seems like a waste to just leave them in the dust... they were great plugs in their day. At the very least let's see them converted to ableton devices in M4L.

I asked about this not long after the announcement that Pluggo was being retired, and was told that the patches would indeed be made available. I've heard nothing since then, and assume that it's not a particularly high priority, with M4L around the corner.

I'd still like to get hold of these patches, partly because there are some that I lie to use, and also so that I can look at how they're made.

is there a lot of work in turning the Pluggos into usable patches (I've never dived into programming Pluggo, so I have no idea if there's much involved in un-pluggoing)

thanks

A subset of the Pluggo plug-ins will be made available as Max for Live devices, at some point. That work is ongoing, and I'm sure we'll let you know when it's made available.

'un-pluggoing' is easier than 'pluggoing'

nothing to contribute here but to just echo the original poster's sentiments. it would be great for C74 to release the pluggo patches, i think a lot of people would find them useful and informative and C74 no longer has any use for them, so why not?

Firstly, that's totally illegal.
Secondly, I gave once the patcher to a friend who didn't understand 'something' that I found in one Pluggo plug-in and it was useless: he used it but never understood.
Thirdly, I think the best approach is to play with any of them and trying to recreate by oneself how a such plug-in is working behind the curtain.
