rewire with cubase

Hi all I have recently completed a standalone application and have tried to run it using rewire. It works fine with pro tools, I am able to send midi info to it and return the audio back into pro tools. however on trying to achieve the same results on cubase is proving to be a puzzle. the problem is that my application doesnt show up as a rewire instrument in cubase's list. I have tried it many times as I read a thread that said that the rewire dll or sdk (cant remember which) isn't created untill the first time to open rewire in your app but this doesnt seem to make any difference. Im not sure if this is due to a lack of knowledge in rewiring through cubase (as I mainly use pro tools) or my lack of max knowledge. Has anyone had the same problem and did you ever solve it. If you did I would love to know how Thanks Lee

I am havning the same problem with Cubase at the moment, I thouhgt it was all hooked up correctly but I can get the 'rweire max' options in 'devices' in Cubase but still can't get any further as my drivers dont seem to want to pop up in the max menu's using rewire. If i work it out I will let you know

hi Ali thanks so much. did you do anything special to get max to show up in cubase rewire list?

Not really, just opened Max first, then Cubase and its in the devices tab as 'max rewire'. I haven't worked out how to send the data from max to cubase yet though so its just an empty channel in Cubase so far. Going to see my tutor soon so hopefully he has an answer. Will let you know....(I need it for my Masters thesis so fingers crossed it happens soon)

I also set my driver in the dsp settings menu in max to ad_rewire, which may have initialised it. Its all still very cinfusing though.

you used it with PT yesterday, so you are maybe out of channels?

do the rewire channels from maxmsp do show up at all in cubase? (in the reqire input window that is)
