Saving Patches

Sep 18 2006 | 5:06 pm

Every Time i save a patch after i have been working on it the file gets duplicated and a string of numbers is added. it looks somthing like this:

first save: "patch"
second save: "patch62"
third save: "patch626162"
fourth save: "patch62616261"

and so im left with many copies of the patch all having a sucessivly longer number string following the patch name.

does anyone know why max is doing this?

thanks
Rob

probably the wrong operating system and Max version.
But nobody knows which you are on… (there is a lot of mentioning of
these obscure bug reporting guidelines in a lot of threads…)

As I run the same and do not have the problem try to repair permissions
with the diskutility (close Max before). Let us know if its going away
or not…

hrrmpff.

does this also happen with other filetypes?
when you record audio for example, or save a table into a file?

no, it only happens in max, with patches.
