scrubbing/scratching audio using a slider and wave~
Hi guys,
I'm sure this must have been covered somewhere, but I can't find it.
I want to read through a buffer using the wave~ object (because that is what I'm already using in my patch) by taking a slider with a scale of 0-1, and converting that into a signal. I would have thought that this should work...
I've tried going from the slider to both the sig~ and line~ objects and then into the wave~ object. Signal produces no sound and line just creates horrible clicks.
My reason for wanting to do this is that I have a sampler that I can use to record, skip around, reverse etc using transport, phasor~, rate~, and wave~, but I want to be able to grab the audio and scrub through it using a slider. As if I'm scratching on a turntable.
Is it possible? I don't want to waste my time exploring this if it cant be done...
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Best,
Christian
