sfplay~ + sd2 = thanks for my ears
Hi all,
Did you try to read sound designer II files on macintel machines ? You
should...
I really do not understand that such a professional (and otherwise
hi-quality) audio software is so buggy in reading sound files (other
important bugs in sfplay~ have been reported for a long time). Sorry, but
I'm a little bit angry because of the too many dBs I just had in my ears.

Hearing excessive sound level unfortunately happens too often when using Max.
One way to limit this kind of accidents which unfortunatelly all of us experienced, would be to constantly monitor the computer microphone and shut the output if te sound level passes a threshold. This limit should be calculated according to perceptive criteria and not only dß.
Could you Cycling74 developp such a tool and add it to the standard Max Audio Status interface ?
Thanks a lot
