I thought I'd post this patch as topic as I don't think it's clean enough yet to be a new tool in the toolbox.

When I get the time I'll clean it up and put it in there. Or maybe someone will beat me to it :-)!

But in the mean time, I didn't want other users to have to wait or prevent them from learning from it.

where Rob suggested I make a tool out of the a patch I'd posted.

The credits for the original physic to nurbs patch concept goes to the great matmat/silicat

I added a read texture options in version 1.8.

I'll feel slightly bad as I've not been as active on here in the past 8 months as I was obligated to learn

Touch Designer for work. But I try to help when I can :-) it's a really great way to learn and keep you chops up to par.

Wow, this patch is exactly what I was looking for! However, I'm having some trouble with the read/write matrix section.

If I understand it's purpose it's to load in and write out the position data of each plane and its subsequent points. This should allow you to "save" configurations. However, I am not getting any functionality out of this section, using the sample .jxf.jit files provided or my own saved .jxf files. When attached to a jit.cellblock the matrixes don't update when planes are interacted with as far as I can tell.

Could you please advise me if I'm using the functionality correctly or if there is something I'm missing?

I'm glad you like it. I must admit , the patch is a total mess. Sadly , I do not have time (at all) to clean it up.

I did spend 30min trying to figure out without getting to deep , why it's not working correctly.

So I tried a previous version , (1.6) and this one seems to work perfectly fine.

you could definitively built a version were you're using thispather (path ) to get/create a path

in parallel with [number] to a [i ] where you bang the path to automatically read/write all five or N amount of planes.

that what you could save full scene states without having to load them one by one.

here is a working (for me on macBook pro Retina mid 2014)
