Simple Step Sequencer for Novation Launchpad
I made a simple step sequencer for Novation Launchpad while at work.
Like I said, it's very primitive, but thought someone might be interested.
The text file is very long.... please bare with me.
[Edit]
It's set up to play Reason Redrum but by manipulating MIDI note messages in the patcher "to_Redrum" It'll play any instrument that can receive MIDI.

hey respect. i love this patch as well as reasons redrum. it never came to my mind to control it with max... it also never came to my mind to use the matrix...
i build my own launchpad step seq.. but i used toggles to open/ close gates..
a tempo driven counter and select objects.. so if you open a toggle with one of the pads it lets the bang pass through and triggers the sample at the specific count...
Thanks. Sounds like your patch would work well. There are always so many ways to do the same thing in Max...
I might add velocity control and mute channel function to the patch. Wish me luck.
iam trying to add a "feature"
if you hold an arrow button next to a row and then press a button in this row to place the sample, the pad will light up orange instead of green and you the sample will play reversed.
it works ok so far, but the gswitch tends to lose focus.
iam also trying to fake the mlr patch from brian crabtree
just discovered this forum post for the launchpad, very nice.
one question though, how can i make the step sequence show on the grid, rather than the top row?
i have tried a few things, which i thought would work, but no, nothing.
any ideas?
thanks
