I have a patch where I can switch between two channels: either a channel will be played through channel 1 only or through channel 1 and 2. Now, while I am testing it, I always hear the sound coming through channel 2 (although a it softer) as well although I do not send sound there. I am testing this on a macbook pro with my internal soundcard.

it could be that your built in mic is enabled and is picking up the output?

You are right. The meters are not showing anything. Must be the crapiola headphones I am using at the moment. I hope they will work fine when I use decent speakers.
