What is the mystery behind trigonometric functions in Max?

This happens with [expr] and with the single objects.

The tangens of 30 is 0.5773503
In Max: tan(30) = -6.405331

The sinus of 30 is 0.5
In Max: sin(30) = -0.988032

Use radians, not degrees.
30 degrees = pi/6 radians = 0.523598776


Mhm ... don't remember radians from school.

The tangens of that doesn't give me the same result as tan() on a calculator, but is good enough for me.
