I am a newcomer to both mac and Max (just started a Max course). Since my teacher uses Max 5, I´m trying to install Max 5 trial in my brand new macbook pro, with OS 10.8.2, but it always crashes before the end of installation ("Error during installation" message). I've searched the forum for a solution but couldn't find it. It must be a pretty obvious issue but it seems I'm far too novice to solve it on my own.

Update: In spite of the incomplete installation, I have a Max 5 icon in Applications. When trying to run it, I get the following message "Required softaware extensions are missing. Click on the OK button and you'll be transferred to PACE web site where an installer can be downloaded". I did, but everything stays the same.
