using jit.qt.movie reliably for public performance

Hello,

I have made a little jitter patch (using jit.qt.movie) for video playback for an upcoming audio/visual event. We are hoping to synch this patch with a sound-file playback (sfplay~) patch. However, I am no jitter expert and my question is: is jitter's timing reliable for a smooth video playback during a performance (fps 25 or 30)? And what is the best way to make sure that the sound track remains in synch with the jitter playback (if the sound is played with a different object)?

Thanks in advance

syncing qt.movies to a sound track has been discussed many times in the forum.
easiest solution might be to try out grahams movie-buffer abstractions:
