Video Capture Suggestions for New MacBook Pro
Hi, All,
I'm moving my Jitter setup from a PC to a new MacBook Pro.
I work exclusively with QuickTime video, no OpenGL. I'm used to capturing video from my PC's S video out, into a Canopus analog to digital converter, and grabbing it via FireWire in another machine.
The new MacBook Pros are VGA and DVI out exclusively.
How do people suggest I capture video now? I'm trying a Canopus TwinPact to capture the VGA out of the MacBook Pro, but I'm seeing alot of tearing that I don't see on monitors, just during the Canopus conversion.
So, anyone have a reliable method for capturing video on a MacBook Pro?
Thanks.
The VGA to TwinPact to FW is now working well. I think the tearing was due to a too-high refresh rate or some piece of gear or software being unhappy for some unknown, temporary reason. Adjust the refresh rate and restarted all the gear and so far it looks good.
