Wacked list behavior???
Hey all,
OK, this seems totally weird to me. I'm sure I've just been looking at it too long and am missing something, but all of sudden some list objects are just stubbornly confused by simple lists! I am- sometimes- getting output of all 0's from them, even when it *really* seems like there shouldn't be. [zl slice] did it and now [join] is too. While I would think there must be *something* up in my patch, when I copy/paste the relevant objects to a new patch, it works as-expected.
What I have done is posted a QT screen recording. I know this is not usually the way to do it, but I thought might be helpful to see how it actually behaves on my system. The patch is pretty 'in-progress' but the section in-question is fairly small and should be totally isolated from the rest of it here. I've included the code for the whole thing, as well.
Hopefully this can communicate the problem, and even better if someone can see what I must not be.
Many thanks,
Brian
FULL PATCH:
Best I can tell is that something got corrupted in your [join] statement. Replacing it fixes the patch here.
I thought it might be corruption, so replaced it several times; I had started with [zl slice], then tried [join]. Even when it works once, it soon seems to break again. Your patch didn't work on my system, unfortunately. I'm getting no errors reported in the Max window or other behaviors (this far) that would lead to me to believe my installation is screwed-up, unless there's somewhere else to look...? Frustrating!
Thanks,
Brian
