Wanted: Max/MSP 4.x

Hi, I would like to purchase a legit license/copy of Max/MSP 4.x, prefer 4.5 or higher.

I need to quickly bash out a plugin for a project that's in Logic Pro.

Happy to buy from Cycling 74, or anyone else who wants to sell me one.

What, really - you can't download/authorise 4.6 any more? That's a shame.
If it's a case of quickly bashing out a plug, then would a 30 day trial be enough for you? Because I'm sure there are loads of us out there who still have a copy, and surely it can't be breaking any laws to pass on a trial copy?
And whilst I know Cycling have M4L to sell/support these days, I would be surprised if they really have stopped supporting 4.6 altogether - have you tried emailing them directly to ask about authorisation? The forum may be a little too public a place to ask...
cheers
Roger

I downloaded 4.6, but it's just a demo. The demo version seems to insert an intermittent noise when you try to use a plugin that you created with it. So unless I'm missing something, or doing something wrong, the 30 day trial/demo version is not an option.

I will check with Cycling 74 though, that's a good idea.

Incidentally, I do have Pluggo installed.

Yes, it's Pluggo that does that intermittent noise thing in demo mode - but only with the Cycling 74 Pluggo's. Plugs that you build yourself, or other 3rd party Pluggo's will be fully functional.
The 30 day demo of Max 4.6 will be fully functional as will be any plugs you build with it, and the plugs will continue to be after the Max demo expires.
In fact you don't even need a licensed copy of Pluggo - Pluggo Runtime or Pluggo Junior will allow you to use your 3rd party plugs,
cheers

All sorts of older version of Max are available for download:

If you don't already have a license for the version you are attempting to use, you will need to purchase a Max 5 license to authorize.
