workaround the absent piano roll - if you´re bored...

...and wanna help me with it, you´re very welcome ;)

i made a patch for recording midi both phrase and open end. so it stores note events and quantizes them into a step sequencer, suggesting a resolution on base of the data. you can play the originally recorded track (with a nice offset-cut feature to optimize looped grooves) - and the sequenced interpretation. AND you can alter the seq length manually for a better resolution.

i worked on it for the last two days, and basically its fine. but there are overflow crashes when choosing higher resolutions and i simply don´t know why. maybe it´s clearer from outside?

it has presentation view for better control. there are "loadmess"-objects and table data in txt-file, so i´d made a zip file.

and: it´s working only monophonic so far.

i´m going to rewrite it from scratch as it wasn´t meant to be more than a simple tracker by first intentions.

did the recorder using [borax] in a way that it

a) only saves NOTE ONs and therefore duration as well
b) uses an insertion-algorithm to provide overdub-recording

and yeah, i´m a bit proud of it. i think it´s a little masterpiece. (joking)
