XP, Jitter, QuickTime, and video load

Working on XP.

Here's a non-scientific report about Jitter 1.7 working better for me with QuickTime 6.5 vs. 7.5.

I recently upgraded to Max 5 / Jitter 1.7 / QuickTime 7.5 from 4.6/1.6. and QT 6.5. (After a long time procrastinating).

While running video in [jit.qt.movie], I found the output freeze from loading new files more noticeable in Jitter 1.7 than in Jitter 1.6.

I played with the performance settings, the preroll attribute and async command, the [poly~] example included with Jitter, etc. Nothing helped.

I reverted to QuickTime 6.5. and the video load was much snappier.

I can't firmly quantify 6.5 is the solution. It's possible something got solved/cleared by uninstalling/reinstalling QT, not because of the actual QT versions.

If I get around to reinstalling 7.5 I'll followup. In the meantime, I'm sticking with 6.5
