Total time spent on a Project.

I'm new to Max For Live and to be honest i don't even know where to start.

My question is it possible to create a timer that saves the hours you spent in a Project using Max For Live? FL Studio has this feature and think is interesting.

Thanks

Hi Matte,

I'm not familiar with max for Live. But, I can help you to find a good application to calculate the hours you spent in a Project.

I would like to share my experience; I'm managing my projects with time recording application. It is something that I started implementing recently and I get more done that way. The name of that application is Replicon ( http://www.replicon.com/olp/online-time-recording-software.aspx ) .

It is a cloud-based application and It's more comfortable to use. Personally, I thank to the developers of this great software, my projects are comfortably scheduled and executed without delay.

Thank you, but i want something more simple and integrated in Live. I don't think it's difficult to do it in Max.

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

This should get you going:

It's not perfect, but it works, and it shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Thank you! How do I have to save it to import it into Live? I mean have it like the Max instruments, audio effect, midi effect.

Copy the code.
Open max -> Edit -> New from clipboard.
Open live -> New max audio/midi effect.
Paste from the max patch into the M4L device.
Save as.

You must be pretty new to max.
Navigate to the patcher inspector and check the 'Open in presentation' box.

Max is not for me, too complicated. I'm more to music production.

It works perfect, now i move it to the master channel.

And thank you for the patch and for helping me.
