Touch OSC and multisilders
Hey everyone,
I have been trying to get to grips with touch osc and using it to control objects in max. I am stuck at the moment and been stressing over it, just to try and control a multislider. Basically in touch osc I have 10 sliders which i want to use to control a 10 slide multislider in max ranging from 0-1. Simple eh? But I can't seem to get to grips with it does the osc-route object generate a list at its output? Cause when I connect it to a message box it seems to come up with the fader number plus its value, and when I use an unpack object with 0. 0. as its arguments I cant seem to have any movement of the different sliders.
Sorry for the dullness.
Ps do any of you know of any good documentation out there for touchosc and integrating it with max?cheers
ok this patch seems to work with the simple template in touchosc but when I create my own template it does not seem to work by using a multislider in osc.
ok sorry for an other post but I have got multislider to recognise touchosc, by moving the sliders in multislider to the corresponding values. But now how can I get the current index of the position of the slider in osc and then be able to unpack this to the various cycle objects? With the patch I have at the moment I can not generate a list output of the current position of the sliders in touchosc.
Thanks for the help
I am really struggling to see why I am not getting any output into the unpack message controlling each harmonic. The multislider in touch osc ranges from 0-1 that's why I have used scale to acale it to 20 as the multislider in max ranges from 0-20. And have prepend set it to each slider. Why when controlling it from the iPhone does this not output a list of values to be unpacked? Could some please help I am being completely thick about this and it's stressing me out ha. Thanks. And sorry about all the multiple posts.
Totally forgot about using the select message with variable arguments to control the sliders value this patch now fully works with the sliders in touch osc
