track pad > XY controller?
is there a way to get a trackpad to report straight XY coordinates (instead of just moving the mouse) for kaosspad type controls?
I'm running an IBM XP thinkpad
thanks

Try "fingamidi".
hi wont generate a menu when I send it the menu command, and when I send it the trackpad (or the keyboard command) it says that they are not valid device names. I'm checking out fingamidi right now

Doesn't work on OS X higher than 10.3 and certainly doesn't work on
Windows...
hi doesn't work for mouse like inputs on windows either as far as I
know. But he could use the normal mousestate. Its a matter of UI design
if that would work or not...
(He did tell what machine he's on...)

I saw a VST called tackpad 22 midi or something like that that might work.
is there a max object for human interface in windows? Even an external? I'm getting a tablet and I'd kind of like more than 128 values from the tablet 2 midi plugin.
