Hello johnpitcairn,

Thanks for testing and replying.
Yes, it work using the IAC bus. It also work when using the "from Max MSP bus" and recording in an other application (i.e. DP)
But it don't work when using midi out with a real hardware midi interface.
Do you have a hardware midi interface to help further ?

NOTE : I tried the very same patch with the imac under bootcamp (windows XP) and it work. But when I'm under OSX,midiout doesn't work with my hardware midi interface. Maybe a buffer size thing ?

Thanks !

i didnt have a chance to have a look at your code, etc. but your problem reminds me of one i have also with the midiface: truncated sysex-files orig: 3102 captured 2077 or less (i am trying to send sysex to the synth). only fireface behaves like that, all other midiinterfaces i used sofar have no prob. might have to do with timing. perhaps fireface has faster transfer. i can send the sysex with sysexlibrarian through ff400, which works. so probably the max-code has to be adapted to specific requirements of ff400.

did you get any further in the meanwhile?
best,jul

Hi,

Thanks for your input. Timing is my guess too...

So far I've got a reply from C74 support saying that thy will look into the problem.

At the end, I would like to not use sysex librarian anymore, but have an all max based solution.

Thanks,

Salvator

I am wondering, has anyone recreated Stevie Wonder's talkbox in MSP? If so I appreciate if it is available.
thanks

yes of course, i use sysex-librarian only for testing the strange behavior of ff400 with max.
