Trying to build a audio/video playlist triggered by midi notes NEED HELP!
Hi, I am building a piece that has video and audio clips that are supposed to be paired with each other for a total of 16 video and 16 audio tracks. I was told to use the poly~ object to create a bunch of buffers and play~ objects but not sure how to connect everything together. I will be triggering these video/audio clips as a live performance using a midi keyboard.
i would actually suggest using playlist~ and jit.playlist objects. in 8.1.4 these have been significantly improved.
very basic patch to get you started. you can drag in your own files and overwrite the demo ones. if your files are the same length, you can simply trigger them at the same time to get synchronized playback, if not you'll have to resort to more complicated means.
Thank you. I am wondering how I can connect a midi keyboard to play notes that will trigger both the audio and video at the same time?
Also I am wondering if there is a way to stop the video/audio when the key is not being pressed? I am trying to only have audio/video play when the specific key is pressed down.
