tuner in m4l
I'm trying to get the frequency of the first harmonic of an audio signal , later to create binaural effect . I have been looking for an object who could work as a tuner, analysing the sound going through and give the frequency. I will appreciate help on this matter :)
Unless I misunderstand you, you're looking for pitch detection (assuming that what you mean by "first harmonic" is the pitch of the signal). Try clicking on the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand side of your patcher window and type in "pitch detection" and check the results. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the listings so you can check on the results of a search here in the Forum, too.
The in-application search is a great way to check what's available in Max and the stuff in the Forums on and on the Cycling '74 site....
