Turning on built-in audio triggers instant crash
I've seen a number of other threads concerning similar issues, but nothing that's been suggested in those threads helps me. Turning on "Core Audio" triggers an instantaneous crash in Max. This issue started suddenly, and I don't remember making any change previous to that which could have triggered this issue.
I've tried changing the audio driver, closing, opening again, and changing back. This didn't help. I also tried reinstalling the program, but there must have been preferences saved elsewhere because the file-preferences were the same as before after the reinstall.
I'm using OS X 10.8.5 and Max 6.1.6. The issue occurs in any patch, not a specific one.
Any ideas?
Trashing the preferences; does that help? I believe that with a fresh install, the preferences remain untouched.
Where is the preferences folder located?
Inside the user folder: /Library/Application Support/Cycling '74
Ah! Got it! Thanks. I'll try throwing that out and see if it fixes the issue.
Yup, that did the trick! Thanks, JVKR.
Where is the preferences folder in osx 10.9 (mavericks)?
