Tutorial 28
Hi there.
On monday night there is a possibility of me doing the visuals for a night club which two friends are dj'ing at. Its very very short notice so im not botherd about achieveing anything amazing, just sormthing that works, and i've only known about max for a week so i cant expect antyhing ground breaking hehe.
Ive been able to get some interesting results with tutorial 28 working with both jpgs and .mov files. This patch would work brilliantly for the night however i need it to display the visuals in a seperate window so that i can make it full screen on the second monitor (projector).
Is there a way I can make the patch editable so i can add in the seprate window and full screen option?
Does soemthing like this already exist... i.e tutorial 28 but with ful screen.
Richard
Look at tutorial chapter 38, which describes a basic performance setup.

thanks,
I assume you mean the downloadable tutorial files? For some reason my tutorials for Jitter only go up to tutorial 37 which is called 37GeomatryUnderTheHood.
The tutorials came in a folder jitterdocwin....
Where can i get 38 from?
I guess you're using Jitter 1.2; the new tutorials are part of Jitter
1.5; the tutorial in question is probably 1.2-safe, at least
conceptually. So download Jitter 1.5 and look at the manual.
Basically, you want the jit.window object. You can read all about it in
the help and reference files, but the Tutorial chapter in question is
perhaps a little friendlier.

ahhh, i see
Thanks that tutorial does show what i needed to see. I guess the next question is a more general one to max really. Is it possible to combine the two patches (tutorial 28 and 38) in any easy way. I could of course construct a new patch taking what i need from both patches but this seems a slow way to go about it.
Thanks in advance
Richard
To edit/lock a patch, hit Ctrl+E. Attached is tutorial 28 with a
jit.window in it. Drag the foo window to your 2nd monitor and hit
ESC. when your gig's over (good luck! :) start with Max tutorial #1.
best,
dan

Thank you for the attached file. I actually figured it out myself about half an hour ago, but once again thanks for your time and good luck messages :D
