Udpsend / OSC over Ethernet connection?
Hi, I'm trying to get OSC sending via an ethernet connection on 2 macs. I figured it'd be as simple as entering in the second mac's IP address as the host within a udpsend object... but no cigar.
Do I need to open up some kind of network connection between the two first? Am I missing anything?

you should post the 2 patches… to see if it's max issue, or network…

Are you entering a port too? Something like this works for me:
[udpsend ip.address.or.hostname 8000]
and
[udpreceive 8000]
You can try the ping command to check if the network connection is OK.
You also may have to allow Max in the Firewall Preferences.
