will this work with Ultraleap  Stereo IR 170 ?

Not tested, but it should work, as the SDK is the same for all Ultraleap devices.

Please let me know how it works if you have the opportunity to test it :-)

Hello @Matthieu. Hi everybody. First of all, I wish you a wonderful 2025! I've been seriously ill during the last half year so my apologies for the radio silence. I'm getting better and back on track with things and was wondering whether it would be possible to run your external on Intel, Catalina 10.15.7. Ultraleap V5.20.0 recognises the controller and tracks it, despite the fact that it actually should be doing this exclusively under OS 11...

Hey JB

glad to read you're back on tracks :-)

I very surprised that you managed to get something coming out of Gemini in macOs 10.15.7...
I tested it on a 2009 MacMini, and despite the fact that I could install Gemini driver, tracking didn't work.
I had to install macOs 11 (thanks to Open Core Legacy ;-) on this computer to make it work.

About our external, I think it should be working (can't see any reason why it wouldn't !)
Please give it a try and let us know :-)

@Mathieu. Thanks. Well, when I say Ultraleap V5.20.0 recognises and tracks under Catalina 10.15.7, I mean to add that it stops right there. Since also the legacy 2.3.1 stopped working after installing Gemini, I had to uninstall the latter since I need access to the older driver to perform older works. It would have been great to have both drivers on the same device... but unfortunately, that does not seem possible.

I had it complain on one of my computers at one point, but then I deleted it and installed it via the Package Manager and it worked fine after that. So worth giving that a spin.

Rodrigo, do you now have both drivers installed under Catalina 10.15.7? Functional?

I've only been able to get it to work with Gemini. Hyperion hangs (on Mac) as I believe the license server isn't operational or something like that.

Big bummer as Hyperion is supposed to have better tracking when holding objects (which is huge for me with drum sticks).

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm not upgrading my OS on the laptops that I'm performing with. If it's a winning team, I refuse to risk snapped backbones. The only thing I've done is going to Sonoma on my M1, after endless checking with colleagues whether they encountered any issues.

What I would like though, is being able to run LEAP V1 and V2 on the same laptop, so I do not have to schlep 2 computers around. Having said that, the second laptop is good as an emergency backup.

As far as I know, you can happily run both v1 and v2 ones at the same time (and multiples of each) with Gemini.
