Unistalling completely Max For Live

Hi

I have 2 computers running Ableton 8.2.1 and I am trying to run some projects from my desktop to my laptop.
Now my desktop works fine with max for live and pluggo and other audio effects. On my laptop now I upgraded max for live to the latest version and it doesnt seem to run my pluggo effects. Actually it does BUT no sound is coming out of the channel. Also the pluggo plugins doesnt exist on max for live Audio effects folder. I dont want to update Ableton cause I have projects running, my desktop computer is 3000 miles away. I am in no mood to fool around. So can you please let me know whats the problem?
How can I uninstall max for live 5.1.8 and install an older version so that I can run the pluggo plugins correct?
I have been trying to uninstall max for live by trashing the applocation folder but when i install an older version it shows that my plugins doesnt work and ask me to update to the latset version. I guess there must be some components or something somewhere which must be removed.

Please advise me because there is a dead end here.
Kindest Regards
Alex

"max for live and pluggo"
??
That is strange, because these two packages are incompatible: Once you install Live 8 , pluggo will not function in Live. Period.
On my ancient laptop, Live 8 will not even finish examining plugins if there are pluggo plugins in the plugin directory.

Cycling74 stated that Max4Live and Live 8 would mark then end of the use of Pluggo technology within Live.

Thank you for your reply Charles!
really? well that is strange because I have been using some plugins from pluggo I think (swirl, lymphonic etc) which doesnt work at the moment. I dont know whats happening and maybe I misunderstood the pluggo thing but cant work at the moment.
do you have any idea maybe? can you enlighten me?? :))
Thank you

In Live I fired Pluggo Additive Heaven, which sounded ok. Then I added a Buffer Shuffler. I got this message:

Max for Live is incompatible with plug-in devices created with Cycling '74's Pluggo. Pluggo is currently active. After each restart of Live you can use either Max for Live or Pluggo, but not both.

My experiments to get beyond this restriction using EnergyXT as a VSTi holder or Plogue Bidule in rewire mode crashed Ableton Live. So I suppose you really have to choose Pluggo or MFL and can't have both together.

Updating.

Trying again by putting the Pluggo device in a re-wired Ploge Bidule instance I was able to add a working Buffer Shuffler MFL device. I guess this means that Pluggo and MFL can be used together, if separated by ReWire.
