URGENT please help windows noob : umenu makes video flickering
Hi, I'm on windows 7 (used to be on os x)
Every time I click on umenu my video is flickering, going black for a fraction of second. It does that with every patch (even the help files like jit.gl.slab) and on two different computer so I guess it's either a trick in windows or a bug in the last version of max 6. I've tried the mouse shadow trick I found on the forum without success.
I got a big performance tonight, please help me.
Thanks !
ok, now I´ve experienced the bug on several windows 7 computers (32 and 64 bits) so it´s not a problem on the windows side. I´d like to downgrade my max 6 version but I can´t find any link on the web site for older version. Could somebody point me in the right direction ? As I said it´s quite urgent.
Thanks !
post the patch
it´s not a patch problem. It does the same thing with the jit.gl.slab help patch. It's a bug. That´s why I want to try an older version. But I can´t find a link on the website.
what is connected to umenu ?
Hi, just a quick report in case I'm not alone searching for solutions.
This umenu problem is now an official bug. It happens with the windows version of max 6.0.4 and 6.0.3 as well. Let's hope it will be fixed with the next version. The support team told me that it could help to set the jit.window @noaccel attribute to 1. It doesn't make a difference for me but maybe it could for you.
Similar thing is happening on OSX - any jit.window that has @border 0 (or fullscreen) shows a flicker of a black bar across the top when I click on a umenu. This does not happen with @border 1.
Max 6.0.4, OSX 10.7.3, MacBook Pro 17", AMD Radeon HD 6750M
