use M4L devices with Ableton Standard?

Hello,
This is probably an Ableton question but I'll give it a try here.

I just sent a big set of audio and video M4L devices to a performer for a concert next week. The performer owns Ableton Live 10, but it appears that he owns the Standard edition, not the Suite. He gets error messages saying that he can't open the devices.
Is there any way of making Max 4 Live work with the Standard edition or unauthorized version of Ableton Live? Like in Runtime, or something else? Even if he can't save the patches, at least to be able to use them.

Asking an instrumentalist to spend $350 in a software update, or $199 in Max For Live, just to be able to play a piece of mine sounds a bit ridiculous.
thanks,
Florent

No thats not possible, MaxforLive is avaialble a sa separate instrument type thing if he doesn't want to upgrade to Suite.

Max for Live mit Live Standard

thanks, I really wish there would be a workaround that would let you use a Max For Live devices without owning a Max For Live license, in the same way that one can use Max patches without a license...

your friend might be able to delete the unlock file and download the demo of 10 suite. He may need to create a new user account
