Use max to operate pinball?

Hello, I've got a strange question. Is it possible to use max to activate the solenoids in a pinball machine? I noticed that max can talk to DMX devices and I don't know much about that other than its a protocol for lighting, but would it be possible to have a DMX controller send voltage to a solenoid instead of a light? The solenoids in a pinball machine are 24-50 volts, is there a device that max can talk to that would be able to power these? Thanks for any help that anyone can give me!

a adapter of 24 - 50 volt for the solenoid + a dmx switch-relaispack may help you

another option is an Arduino (or similar) controlled relais board: https://secure.robotshop.com/seeedstudio-arduino-relay-shield.html

Phidgets is also a really easy platform, with Max support (ie. they have Max externals available): http://www.phidgets.com/products.php?category=9
