Using Max to explore craftsmanship, materials and design process

Hello everyone,
I’m interested in how Max is being used beyond purely digital outcomes, especially in projects that connect sound, interaction and visual systems with physical craftsmanship and material-driven design.

I recently came across a product site that highlights a strong focus on handmade production, material quality and process-driven design. It got me thinking about how tools like Max can be used to explore or support similar values, such as prototyping ideas, generating patterns or systems, creating interactive installations, or even designing sound and visual narratives around physical products and making processes.

I’d love to hear from the community:

  • Have you used Max in projects connected to physical objects, materials, or craft?

  • Do you use Max for generative design, process visualization, or concept development?

  • Any examples where digital systems influenced real-world making or design decisions?

  • Tips for bridging software tools with hands-on creative practices?

Looking forward to learning how others are blending Max with broader design and craftsmanship workflows.
