Using motion tracking to scale Unity objects

Hi

I'm still very new to Max MSP, and am doing an interactive art assignment for Uni.

We've created a Max patch that takes data from a live video feed and successfully sends it to Unity 3D to control a series of objects.

We've already used a combination of jit.op objects to detect the amount of movement through frame difference. Now we want to use the value of movement to scale the objects in Unity proportionally. We want movement to cause an increase in the y scale of the object, and no movement should result in a decrease in its y scale until it reaches its original y value or movement is sensed.

Hey Anneke,

I am currently working on a similar project. I was wondering if we could discuss it further as I have a demonstration next week and am trying to get max to send out numbers which would then move a box in unity. Any info would be great, I also live in NZ haha
