Variable polyphony using poly or borax

    Hi everyone
I'm building my first polysynth, and I would like to have a way of changing the number of voices available. I've got it working with a fixed amount using the [poly] object, but I can't find any way of changing the value of it. I did a search on here and someone said they had it working using a [borax] object, but I can't work out how to do that.
Can anyone give me any advice please?
This is what I have so far

Bump because I'd like to know too. :) It is true that you can't dynamically change the number of voices with poly.
Likewise, I have a working polysynth using poly and poly~. I've been scouring the internets, trying to find an example of how to replace poly with borax. No luck after one evening.
I've tried to use borax and I have something which somewhat works, but there's some note stealing weirdness. I won't go into details there because I don't want to overrun Matty's thread.
More details on swapping out a poly for a borax would be very appreciated.

I haven't had my coffee yet, so caveat emptor, but don't you want something like this?
