Video Flicker - Too many bangs?

I am working on a project to create an interactive theatrical production and I am quite new to Max/MSP/Jitter.

I am experiencing some unpleasant video flicker when I open three different video feeds (two from cameras, one from a web cam), one video file of prerecorded footage, and making a 2x2 grid of the videos. I also see some flicker when I full-screen any of these feeds.

I am probably sending too many bangs to some object but I can't figure out where it is occurring since I do not have the best grasp of Jitter (I've just taught myself how to use it via the tutorials included in the program).

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could look at my code real quickly and tell me what I have done wrong or if there is anyway I can prevent the flickering from happening. I am also interested in ideas for creating a nice transition between the grid and full-screen effect. General tips on formatting would also be welcome.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben i had a look at your patch but could not see any flickering, but i dont have muti camera to plug in to it. but i did have a go making my own version of your patch, try having a mesh around with this and see if it flickers when you put the dv.grab instead of the jit.qt.movie. i used vades two channel mixer shader you can get it from here if you dont have it http://001.vade.info/?page_id=20

hope it helps

cheers ben

Thanks so much for looking at my patch! I really appreciate it.

However, I am unable to make the patch work because I dont know how to convert the txt that you included in your reply into a patch itself. I thought I could make it work by using File>Build Collective/Application but that didnt seem to work.

I know this is a pretty low level question but I have just started to learn Jitter and I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Cheers
