I'm trying desperately to get a jbox to show a patcherview ? It's close to what bpatcher does except that bpatcher always want's to own the patcher and only shows the firstview.

But I want to display a new view of a patcher that already exists, in a box in a patcher.

Adopting the scripto sdk example, my external is now able to put a fresh jbox into the target patcher. But how to go on? My new view is created but how to put it into the box?

That seems to work but the problem arises when this box is deleted without sending the needed ("wclose") to the contained patcherview before. Max will crash sooner or later! I think because there are still references left to the view from which the component just died with the box. 

Ok, then we give the ui object a reference to the view and in the free() method of it I call "wclose"

    object_method(x->view , _sym_wclose);

Doesn't work ! It crashes. The contained component seems to be destroyed before the free method of the jbox is called. It works fine if i send the wlose to the view manually before deleting the box in the patcher. 

Is it possible to do it in a clean way with patcherview's "setcontainedcomponent" ?

I'm open for other suggestions. I also tried to set the box flag "JBOX_BOXVIEW" (enable jboxview methods) but can't find any further documentation on that.

I played around with

This has been solved by using "close" instead of "wclose" in the free method of the ui object. Another occurrence of the magical effect when you wrote the question on the forums.
