1) Vizzie Moviefoldr preset folder path in MaxMSP patch startup, 2) Timecode within Vizzie AVPlayr
Hi,
1) PRE-SET MOVIEFOLDER:
I am trying to get Vizzie Moviefoldr to list a specific folder with movies in the patch startup, but keep on having issues. I do see the message: "choose a folder or send the "folder" message to populate the menu" in the upper left hand inlet, but... have not found any reference to what the formatting of a "folder" message is..
I have gotten the folder preset working with a more complex patch, with a path message to a folder, using autopopulate, prepend prefix etc, path being "/Users/marko/Desktop/TESTFILES", but would very much love to use Vizzie´s Moviefoldr with a simple "folder" message.. but, not clear how it is formulated and sent to the inlet.
2) TIMECODE with AVPlayer/Player:
Q: Does anyone know a way to get timecode working with Vizzie AVPlayr/Playr ? I have gotten it working with movietime/qt movies, with specific math with timescale, hr/min/sec/frames.. but, it appears that with Vizzie, one would have to dig inside the Vizzie modules, customize them possibly ? Interested in finding out if there is a chance to read timecode by using merely Vizzie modules, or even movietime/timescale etc based ways of reading pseudo-timecode?; not real SMPTE
I saw the earlier smpte~ object, which.. creates SMPTE timecode: https://cycling74.com/tools/smpte, but.. looking for a way of reading it, from movie files which have timecode. Q: Any advice is much appreciated, I am sure the answers might be simple.

Update: Matter resolved:
1) Preset loading sorted out with "loadmess folder", followed with the exact WinPC specific filepath, thank you to Chris @ Cycling74 support!, and 2) I will be in touch with Mattjis re: SMPTE external matter, for Win PCs (HPZ8 workstation used in the project, while I normally use M1/M2 Macs). Thank you again.. !
