Vizzie Resolution
Searched the forums and found a few things on the resolution problems in the vizzie recrdr but I am finding the same problem in all the vizzie video objects the PLAYR, MIXR, RECRDR and VIEWR. Each object seems to scale any video down to 320x240. Is there any way of changing this internally and scaling to 640x480 instead? I have tried saving over the original objects of the PLAYR and changing all internal numbers from 320x240 to 640x480 but this isnt working.. maybe due to the screen sizing? Any help would be appreciated.
What I'd like to do is have an output resolution for all objects of at least 640x480 so that no pixelation occurs in full screen mode.
Thought I'd fix the Vizzie introduction:
"Imagine this scenario: It’s 8:50 p.m. and the band is getting ready to play. Someone found a projector in the closet, and they are looking at you. You’ve got ten minutes to come up with something to project at 320x240. Impossible? Maybe not…"
My first thought is that you're running an earlier version than the most recent (which would be the 3 Dec install on (44134) on the downloads page. The reason for this is that everything *but* the GRABBR object defaults to 640x480 as of the last release, and having that be the case for the GRABBR was done for reasons that we've subsequently changed our minds about. So check to see whether you actually *have* got the current version.
If you'd like, you can surgically upgrade your Vizzie install to grab at 640 x 480 by default by downloading an incremental upgrade, complete with instructions for installation.
The version you'll be downloading will be included in the next update to Max by default.
I've been using Vizzie after downloading the Dec 3 release, and it still runs everything at 320 x 240. Was there some kind of problem with my update?
Open the Vizzie patches and edit them.
Have they really changed the resolution from 320x240 to 640x480 in the most recent version of vizzie? I can't seem to get more than a 320x240 resolution... and in case they really did change it: what's wrong with my version...?
