Vowel classifier

Hi Max forum, I'm looking for a readymade object or patch or library that performs classification of sung vowels ("aa", "ee", etc.) and possibly other held vocal sounds ("mm", "shh", etc.).

Audio signal in --> String or int or other data type out representing which vowel is being sung.

I recall that the IRCAM FTM / MNM(?) libraries had an example that did this, but from what I can tell these libraries aren't maintained any more.

Any pointers? Thanks!
