Hi, anyone else having issues with multiple audio outs from vst~?

I'm trying this both in Max 6 and 7.1 on a Mac. Loading Battery and Drumazon with the extra argument at the front e.g.:

vst~ 6 "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Battery 3.component"

The main stereo output works fine, but assigning to outputs 3/4 etc. within the plugins don't seem to be getting to the outlets..I've tried both vst and audiounit versions.
