vst plugins music instruments?

personally I love Cakewalk Studio Instruments, you get drums, electric piano, electric bass, and a 3-part string section. The sounds are quite good and the interfaces are great. You can run as a standalone or use the .dll to load into the vst~ object. The drums especially are awesome. It's cheap too. though it may be Windows only.

There are a TON of freebies out there too, though some didn't work for me...

You need to tinker for a bit to get good controls for the vst~ but it's worth it!
