VST window goes to background immediately, please help

Hi,

I hope someone can help me, I have this patch here and no matter what I did to it - I deleted all the tryouts from it - if you open the vst with the button it goes immediately to the background and hides behind Ableton. This is so awful that such a simple thing like open a vst, or window in general, on top option is not there.
I have searched for more than a day now for this and I am giving up.
Nothing worked. Working on Win10Pro
The optimal end result would be to have the window stay on top all time, but it wold be nice enough if it would stay in front when opening it.

Would be nice if someone could help here please. I also read a lot about how complicated it is in max to do floating windows that are on top. In python I write a whole GUI in the time I looked for that one thing

here. But this is offtopic I know :)

This is I think the smalles possible part, if more is needed I can also post the whole patch, it is no secret

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Hallo

I'm also looking for an answer here - perhaps there's a thispatcher instruction that helps this, but I haven't figured it out yet

I found on my windows PC that double-clicking on the VST object (you can add it to the presentation) opens the plug-ins window fine, but the open message has this open in background effect.

Just use a button that bangs on mouse-up in Live, otherwise the mouse-up will bring the Live window to the front and the plug-in window backwards. To make it stay on top, there are ways with an C external but no build-in way in Max currently.

I hope they add this ability.

@Noah You know how it goes, hope dies last. Or you just stop hoping with Ableton and Max. I registered a small normalization bug for 14-bit controllers, but with pretty severe implications. probably fixable in under an hour... in November 2022... but emojis in the project file name being fixed with high importance.
