Wacom and Windows
As far as I know so far, there is no possibility for anybody to use a wacom tablet device directly with max msp. The only object which I found, the "wacom~" object port for windows is on this dead link http://www.akustische-kunst.org/maxmsp/ , which doesn't provide any information about why it is no longer available or where it can be found alternatively.
Surely a copy of this windows version must exist somewhere, why is it so enigmatic!?
As a windows user there are a few external programs I can use as an alternative which can communicate to max via midi ( I use Wmidi), but it would be nice to have this object since then whatever patch I make using it should be cross compatible with macs.
Wouldn't it be great to have one object or even program which ran on both operating systems? The only one I am aware of so far is the wacom~ object which doesn't seem to exist.
the hi object doesn't detect wacom because of windows driver issues ( read about it in this post https://cycling74.com/forums/cant-get-max-to-see-any-hids-tried-everything-need-some-help )
as far as I understand it the object does not work with MAX6 anyway, although I believe there is a work around...There is probably someone on this forum who has a copy of the object somewhere that they could give you. Maybe search the forum see who is using it and PM them for a copy.
