Greetings Max users,

I'm getting this message in my Max window when starting Max and while loading patches:

Warning: you have multiple files in your search path with the name plus.svg
using this file: Macintosh HD:/Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/interfaces/plus.svg
Warning: you have multiple files in your search path with the name minus.svg
using this file: Macintosh HD:/Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/interfaces/minus.svg
Warning: you have multiple files in your search path with the name list.svg
using this file: Macintosh HD:/Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/interfaces/list.svg
Warning: you have multiple files in your search path with the name reveal.svg
using this file: Macintosh HD:/Applications/Max5/Cycling '74/interfaces/reveal.svg

Not really sure if it was something I did and how to fix it. I tried reinstalling but still the same.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This happens to me if and when i have created a number of copies of the same/similar patches and moved them around my HD. A record of previous files/patches is kept by Max and i think this is what's 'confused' it. Also check your file preferences settings which tell Max which folders to scan. I don't know exactly what causes this or what the specific solution is...

I mean just read the message, it can't be clearer than that...
How to fix it? search for the duplicates and get rid of them, keep only one...
Unfortunately Max doesn't know where the other is, it only knows there is a duplicate. It loads the first it finds...
Its pretty harmless, just a warning (in case you modify one file and it loads the other you might wonder why it doesn't save correctly though it does...)
